Looking for a quality constructor for your next project?
C&W Offshore is a 100% Newfoundland and Labrador owned and operated, ISO 9001:2008 certified, full service fabrication company, servicing the offshore oil and gas industry.
C&W Offshore was incorporated in December 2004, with the goal providing fabrication and associated support services to companies involved in the Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Oil and Gas Industry. After five months operating in a small rented warehouse, C&W took over an existing fabrication company called Garland Systems, as its current owner wished to retire. After five years at the location it was determined that in order to grow and maintain the highest level of service to our clients, a new custom built facility was needed. C&W moved into its new and current facility in April 2010. This facility had a 12,000 ft2 (1120 m2) fabrication high bay with 50 tons of lifting capacity and 3500 ft2 (326 m2) of offices. The fabrication bay includes custom features such as oversized doors, built in test pad and 33’ (10m) lift height. C&W employs design, engineering, naval architectural & technical staff to provide the latest in design technology to our customers. Production staff includes welders, fitters, laser machine operators, CNC operators, millwrights, machinists, brake/shear operators, hydraulic technician, stainless steel/aluminum finisher and general labourers. We employ CWB (47.1 for steel and stainless steel and 47.2 for aluminum) and ASME (B31.1, B31.3, B31.5) welders for Aluminum, Stainless Steel and Steel. We also have offshore pipe procedures for Duplex, Super Duplex, Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel, and are in process of qualifying procedures for Titanium CuNi and 6MO.
At the C&W Offshore facility in Mount Pearl, we focus on carbon steel fabrication. Utilizing the large fabrication hall, combined with 50 tons of lift capacity and an 8.5m wide x 7.3m high door, C&W can fabricate large modules inside in a controlled environment. For the Hebron project, we fabricated one particular module for the East Lifeboat Station, which was 16m long x 7.8m wide, and weighed 54,000 kg. This module had to be built in smaller sub-assemblies while in the shop, and final assembly was done at a height where it could be moved out of the fabrication shop and into the paint shop using a modular trailer. After paint was completed, this module was taken to Bay Bulls and joined to three other sub modules to make up the completed East Lifeboat Station.
For materials other than carbon steel, including pipe spools, C&W Industrial in Bay Bulls is used to minimize cross contamination of materials. The Bay Bulls facility is a non-carbon steel site, focused on fabrication of Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Super Duplex, Duplex and soon to be 6MO and Titanium. The Bay Bull facility completes fabrication under the supervision and quality control requirements of C&W Offshore where required. Physical separation of the work sites ensures there is no cross contamination between the carbon and any exotics. C&W Industrial is also a ISO 9001:2008 registered facility, and Offshore has had a direct affiliation with them since its inception over 10 years ago.
C&W Offshore will be the most trusted and preferred provider of metal fabrication and associated services in Newfoundland and Labrador.
C&W Offshore will provide superior fabrication and support services to companies involved in the offshore oil and gas industry and other clients seeking innovative design/build solutions.
