Looking for a quality constructor for your next project?
The health and well-being of C&W Offshore’s employees is first and foremost to us as a company. Many programs have been implemented to ensure that our employees’ health is taken into consideration in all aspects of the business. C&W has installed a complete air cleaning system in the fabrication shop which removes welding spoke and recycles the air back into the shop to ensure a clean working environment for our production employees. We also perform regular medical reviews on all employees to ensure that they are capable of preforming the tasks required of them. Employee assistance programs as well as Early and Safe Return to Work programs are also in place to ensure employees stay healthy.
C&W Offshore strives to ensure that all workers have a safe and healthy environment to work in, and we have initiated various in-house programs to ensure this happens. These programs include, but are not limited to:
At C&W, we’re committed to continuously improving our safety performance and we strive to have zero incidents in the workplace. Our employees are our most valuable asset, and their safety is our number one priority. Our culture of safety begins by exceeding the workplace health and safety standards and ensuring that all of our employees complete the required safety training and courses for each project. We believe safety has to be a way of life, not just something you say. C&W has successfully achieved the Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association (NLCSA) COR Certification since 2010, and we are proud of our excellent safety record.
The best way to ensure that our employees stay safe is to educate them on the companies safe work procedures, protocols and the potential hazards that can be found throughout the workplace. This allows each employee to take safety into their own hands. We regularly provide training to our employees so that they can operate the various shop equipment safely, and perform their jobs in a safe manner. Some of the training courses we provide are:
Additionally, employees are made aware of the hazards throughout in the workplace that pose a risk to their health and how to implement proper safety controls so that we all make it home safely each day.
C&W Offshore recognizes the environmental impact of manufacturing and focuses on ensuring a healthy environment for current and future generations by minimizing or eliminating pollution whenever possible. We are committed to continuously working toward zero discharge into the environment with the help of our customers, partners, communities and the world around us. In our state of the art coatings facility, we use environmentally friendly steel grit rather than single use blast media. After blasting, the grit is swept into a recovery trough where the dust and any other impurities are removed to ensure that the grit can be used again. This process drastically lowers the amount of waste produced and potentially keeps over 140 tons of used grit from entering local landfills annually.
C&W Offshore commitment to environmental awareness and preservation is reflected through the business that we conduct and the products that we choose to use. We also try to achieve this by:
At C&W Offshore, we believe quality is everybody’s job. That’s why we build quality into everything we do. From the smallest welding job to the largest design/build project, we ensure it meets or surpasses our client’s expectations and quality requirements. We are ISO 9001:2008 certified, and we are constantly striving to better ourselves and our products. We are implementing lean principles into our daily operations with the goal of being more cost competitive while also giving our clients the best possible product.
